Softly
I seek for you in the softlies
In the quiet places
Where shadows beckon the day
To embrace the coming night
And softly weave the twilight
Of sun's last rays and moon's first beams
As a tremulous hush
Softly stills the in between
Both leaf and flower quiver
At nature's subtle whisper
The softest stirring of the breeze
Conjures your caress in memory
And thoughts of hazy sunny days
And sunsets
Spreading like liquid amber
And orange
Calling eyes to distant skies
In moments that speak forever
So softly to my soul
So too
They speak to me of you.
Here
As twilight fades
Enwrapped in cloak of night
Candle magic stirs
When starlights' sparks
Light the velvet wicks of night
To softly flicker
Then blaze against the dark
As hope cast wishes of mine take flight
Seeking sweet refuge within your heart
I would love you
Hair that softly spills
And eyes that softly shine
In the distance hoped for
But as yet too far
That I might hold within my arms
The soft of you
Of whom I dream
And know
Ever I seek for you in the softlies
For so you touch my heart
Which longs to taste the sweet of your breath
Savored within a kiss.
In the quiet places
Where shadows beckon the day
To embrace the coming night
And softly weave the twilight
Of sun's last rays and moon's first beams
