Dear Daddies - We Broke Everything
Wasn't the first day of Hanukkah AMAZING!? I mean, last night our kids each got a present. Softballs! This morning I get to sweep them all up, should I accept the challenge.
There was no saving them. Bite. Spit. Repeat. Finish ball. Start next ball. At least two of them could not stop. Nobody wanted to freak them out so we sort of just encouraged them to do the right thing. And the two oldest small children actually played with their toys while they remembered to keep them safe.
But eventually, like in less than two hours, you can't tell we sweep because of all the mess they made over the little toy event. That's lots of happy children who didn't melt down and had fun for probably $10. The memories of that last night, the surprise organic "oreos" this morning.... these are memories that can't be broken or crumbled; they are remembered here and in each of our spirits, forever unbreakable.
