Light a path

Light a path for me in this dark and cold world.

Guide me to my destination so I can be relieved of these frustration.

That sit on my shoulder weighing me down from reaching greater heights.

Shine your light bright on this beaten path that I walk day in and day out.

Show me a way out of this mundane life so I can be done with this fear of change

That follows me around like a shadow hinged to my back preventing me from being the person I want to be.

Just light your light to make everything clear so I can stop making the same excuse of I didn’t know

All my mistakes...all my fears...all my hopes, dreams and everything else that make up this existence of mine.

Light them up to expose all of my doubts so that everyone can see.

That I’m just a person, trying to traverse this dark, cold, unforgiving world at my best

Or until I take my dying breathe and that light of yours guide me to my final destination.
