until they are buried up to
their necks in the pig
shit of stupified
ignorance and
tradition
the dogma of generations
barking
the cannon of ideologues
blast away
democrats have become
socialists
republicans have become
Trumptites
the left wing
broken
the right wing
broken
how can the eagle
fly
America,
my heart is breaking

A very well-written piece, Kitts. I will admit to feeling a bit anxious about world affairs ( much less our own country ); however, I refuse to relinquish hope that something good will come from all of this upheaval. That as a natural disaster it will bring people together, and from that togetherness peace will be born.

The Internet changed everything. Now your average Joe Shmoe thinks he can convert thousands of people to his side with a little cherry picked information or a jpeg out of context with a soundbyte. It started with fake emails and has since snowballed out of control.

The sad fact is Joe Shmoe can convert thousands to his side with a simple twist of a word. Too many people no longer think for themselves and are more than willing to drink the cool aid of some moron online. I'm glad i came out of a different generation where we questioned everything.
