Night Hag
Surprise
I am still alive
Dying
Thriving
In the same place you left me
Inside that portal to hell
On the old abandoned block in toxic city
The cancer fills my lungs as I curse your name in between each frozen exhale
My skin is dulled from the perpetual sweat of addiction and my teeth are stained by a million lies
The sky is the pale grey of an overdose victim’s skin and I hate you
Like all the years of dope sickness and isolation
I hate you like narcan
I am still alive
Dying
Thriving
In the same place you left me
Inside that portal to hell
On the old abandoned block in toxic city
The cancer fills my lungs as I curse your name in between each frozen exhale
My skin is dulled from the perpetual sweat of addiction and my teeth are stained by a million lies
The sky is the pale grey of an overdose victim’s skin and I hate you
Like all the years of dope sickness and isolation
I hate you like narcan
