Want vs Need
I’ve come to the realisation that I don’t want or need the BS that comes with a bond that I don’t necessarily need in my life even though I wanted it to be a new chapter.
What I need to do is close the door, and never reopen it, acknowledging that it never worked out then, and it’ll never work out now.
Goodbye, is oft the hardest thing to say, right after I’m sorry.
Life, is just too short for that kind of brand of heartache !

Your decisive independence is well asserted. Though it is difficult to say one "likes" the topic, One must support a decision made by a person so convinced that decision is the best they can make for their happiness. Your definitive "verbalization" is written well and whatever your final decision is deserves the support of those who respect that decision.

Reads more like a diary entry, which isn’t necessarily bad just different from your other compositions. That of course suggests introspection.
