He and I
He and I sometimes don’t see eye to eye,
The other side, my Gemini,
He who lacks restraint wants to take over me,
But it’s I who makes the logical decisions,
Regardless of the positions,
I’m the one in charge so he has to listen to me.
I and he sometimes go off on a limb,
My twin is a pseudonym,
Interchangeable when at times he lacks the guts,
It’s I who gives him the strength,
Close by at arms-length,
I have empowered him and yet he thinks I’m nuts.
He and I sometimes are like a mirror,
It can’t get much clearer,
He has all the rage and passion without self-control,
But I’m the one who has to be reasonable,
Practical and feasible,
Or his choices can outweigh us both and take their toll.
I and he battle over the heart and mind,
When we’re both inclined,
His reserve can holds us back when he lacks the nerve,
At times he’s needed the vision to see it,
To live it, to be it,
To take what’s rightfully ours and what we truly deserve.
He and I are the left and right,
I and he tangle in a quite fight,
And yet logic and passion can be interdependent,
He’s the reason why I can hang,
He’s been the yin to my yang,
Together we dream in balance to be transcendent.
