A Love Lost
The man walks to the nearby cemetery.
He never thought he would be here…
At least not for his love that has been lost.
He lays a beautiful, rich, red rose on the grave of his beloved.
“Oh, why did this happen,” he cries.
He feels so unloved.
His tears begin to fall where the rose now lies.
Sorrow and despair begin to consume him.
He now carries, as a burden, the weight of this depression on his shoulders.
She vanished from his life on a whim.
He has lost the only thing he has ever truly loved.
He can’t ever feel the warmth of her body against him like he once did.
She is now somewhere up above.
He now feels like a like a little kid.
Longing for comfort that he knows he will never have,
And living with the pain of a love lost.
