skies are on fire
trees are shedding their
colorful blossoms
air crisp with promise
she wraps herself in thick wool
nothing more
her barefeet
lightly dancing
over dark earth
strewn with fallen petals
tapestry swarming
caught in the under current
of breezes
colors flicker and fade
sun still warm
crashes through bare branches
to kiss her cheeks
sharp contrast to the cold
beneath her feet
making her inhale deeply
sun warmth
exhaling cold mist
it is with dire urgency
she wishes to lie down
drowsy
into the realm and scents
of

her need so strong
to just feel
