Woman In Winter
A memory
That never seems to fade
You are a woman in winter
A frozen shell
Deep inside the fires have cooled
Icicles have encapsulated your heart
The feelings tho numb
Still remain like echoes
The smile is there for all too see
But in another place
In another time it was once real
Even tho the music plays
You are scared to dance
Scared to be touched
Like you once where
You disengage from the world
Surround yourself in dreams
To purify the pain you carry
Your a woman in winter
No longer the girl in summer
When the fires burned hot
In the same skin
A little weather beaten
But still the beauty shines through
Constant reminder of who you are
How you got here
Woman in winter
You need to hear the whispers again
The ones that used to ignite your fire
Your never too old to burn
Love and passion is for all
Not just young lovers
Time to re engage reality
To dance in the rain
Walk barefoot in the snow
Lay bared in the sun
Time to thaw
Woman in winter
That never seems to fade
You are a woman in winter
A frozen shell
Deep inside the fires have cooled
Icicles have encapsulated your heart
The feelings tho numb
Still remain like echoes
The smile is there for all too see
But in another place
In another time it was once real
Even tho the music plays
You are scared to dance
Scared to be touched
Like you once where
You disengage from the world
Surround yourself in dreams
To purify the pain you carry
Your a woman in winter
No longer the girl in summer
When the fires burned hot
In the same skin
A little weather beaten
But still the beauty shines through
Constant reminder of who you are
How you got here
Woman in winter
You need to hear the whispers again
The ones that used to ignite your fire
Your never too old to burn
Love and passion is for all
Not just young lovers
Time to re engage reality
To dance in the rain
Walk barefoot in the snow
Lay bared in the sun
Time to thaw
Woman in winter
