Sayonara
(A Postcard from Aokigahara)
I can feel the panic setting in,
My mechanical heart beat is going faster,
Drowning in a sea of greenery I am trying,
Dying slowly after the wicked laughter.
I am lost amid the cypress and red pines,
Some of the branches have become loose,
Calling me, telling me to hang in there,
As if ghosts have prepared me a noose.
I can feel it deep in the pit of my stomach,
This is the place where my fear will disappear,
The phantom voices will finally go silent,
My fading breath is the only thing I hear.
I have left everything behind,
I take no possessions to the other side,
I only carry my darkest secrets,
In the forest of suicide.
I can feel the panic setting in,
My mechanical heart beat is going faster,
Drowning in a sea of greenery I am trying,
Dying slowly after the wicked laughter.
I am lost amid the cypress and red pines,
Some of the branches have become loose,
Calling me, telling me to hang in there,
As if ghosts have prepared me a noose.
I can feel it deep in the pit of my stomach,
This is the place where my fear will disappear,
The phantom voices will finally go silent,
My fading breath is the only thing I hear.
I have left everything behind,
I take no possessions to the other side,
I only carry my darkest secrets,
In the forest of suicide.
