Fashionista! #12: Alter Ego🐾
It’s Fashionista here with daughter Tig
She’s all of half a year and getting big!
We’re waiting for the bus, she’s in preschool,
Where shapeshifting kids go to as a rule.
It’s half an hour later in a cab,
To my downtown shop in the time I have.
Where I’m purveyor first of fashion trends,
Of jungle prints on clothing, shoes, faux gems.
There’s all accessories, the scarves & hats,
The leather belts, and buttons, bows & spats.
With home goods in dynamic prints you crave,
To decorate a gal’s den or man-cave.
I own a loft, Manhattan upper side,
It’s where I’ve called my home since I arrived.
My habitat and haunt is daily news;
To artists, young & old, I am their Muse.
The riff-raft & the In-crowd Underground
Are ever watching out when I’m around.
My chauffeur has a GPS for real;
Black market rate, I got it for a steal.
It’s reason why my fans and the police
Will track when alter ego’s been released.
I shape-shift as the Tiger’s zodiac,
Then leap into the night to find a yak.
The limo’s high beams flash right in my face,
But I see Tig, she’s up front in her place.
Oh no, I’m feeling odd, here comes the heat!
I think I’d better run — I need to eat!
