The Golden Key
She possesses the golden key to unlock his heart
He'd locked it up because it was being torn apart
He started to slowly depart from his loving ways
Because being a gentleman doesn't always pay
Tired of pain he started to refrain from opening up
Got stains on his brain that put him in the dumps
He felt like a chump when depression took ahold
Her friendship assisted him in becoming whole
Now he's bold enough to give love another try
His spirit is uplifted and he feels like he can fly
A far cry from the guy that he started to become
His dark purple days gave way then he saw the Sun
He'd locked it up because it was being torn apart
He started to slowly depart from his loving ways
Because being a gentleman doesn't always pay
Tired of pain he started to refrain from opening up
Got stains on his brain that put him in the dumps
He felt like a chump when depression took ahold
Her friendship assisted him in becoming whole
Now he's bold enough to give love another try
His spirit is uplifted and he feels like he can fly
A far cry from the guy that he started to become
His dark purple days gave way then he saw the Sun
