Image for the poem fear trembles

fear trembles

the grimy dark reached into me
it twisted my thoughts
made me fear its touch

but I have a guard its ill-prepared for
getting in line behind me
the vastness of space surrounds
fills me with TRUTH

I am awakened
my enemy breathing on me
he forgets I'm immortal
I shrug the fear
the construct of the mind has taught me

stretch my left then my right
attacking it where it is weakest
the dark is unsure of me
it doesn't know my origins
and I will never show it--
where I truly reside

I dare it to make good on its promise
and free me from this current matrix
you will see me face to face
when I have nothing left to lose

so come at me deadly
but be damned sure before you do
that I am what I appear to be
a little girl lost I think not

better bring a host of demon
I was made for war
I'll see you soon
remember I know where you sleep
