The Little Troubles of Shark 'Infested' Waters

If'n I coulda been any-body, per
                    haps
I coulda been Me, but six+ decades
                       have
freight-trained by, and I don't know my ass from a
                        hole
in the soul.  Y'gotta see the humor in such folly,
                         lest
ye succumb to the all-to-common Delusion of
                          Self.
Taken seriously, there's a goodly dose of
                           long
acting toxin in there that blinds the eyes
                            with
with a sharp, searing 'light', as being a
                            rite
of necessity, rather than the encumbrance it
                            came
to be. Seems my mind is growing mute
                             with
all the joysorrow that money has bought on this
                              good
day to you, and may Christ be yOur salvation,
                              ( eh?)
