Children of the sun

"Twas in another lifetime"
One of wonder and love,
when worries were withheld
and stars could still be seen up above,
we wandered within a wasteland
beings belonging to none
only the savior in the sky,
we're children of the sun.

So as we live our lives today
 we should share this love,
always do our best for all
and praise the gods above,
in the land of lowdown lost dreamers
longing to be one
and looking up to see
they're children of the sun.

Not a single soul was shunned
all were accepted as they were,
everyone up until that point
had always felt unsure,
done with waiting in a world
where they always had to run
they looked up and saw
they're children of the sun.

We were full of faith and fury
basking in the beauty,
our energies erupting
lovin was our duty,
excessive passions progressing
souls merging as one,
simultaneously they see
 they're children of the sun.

Instantly we are aware and
care to share what's been felt,
never shall we dwell upon
what hand we
 wished we'd been dealt,
we woke up to this so wonderfully
we know what must be done
all because we understand
we're children of the sun.

Still there's times when tensions rise,
some souls still feel lost,
some take too much for granted,
some don't know when
 the lines been crossed
and just to think some will never see
what it truly means
 to be one
or ever look up and know
they're children of the sun.
