In the long grass

Beneath the misty veil of dawn's sweet trespass
We lay as lovers,  fresh as the flesh on the
Unpicked bone of any fantasy.
Hidden , green as new sprung shoots in an unploughed meadow...
Limbs in the long grass, splayed and  tangled in the strangle
Beneath the well hung boughs of lust's heavy burden
Swaying and spraying the ripe seed of my passion  ....

Soaking up summertime blossoms in springtime eyes
I gaze upon a lost meadow...and still  the
Wildflowers hold a whisper
of the past.
When once we lay together
As lovers
In the long grass.
