Do you retreat to a secret place
When you break down and cry?
Does your conscience nag at you
When you tell a lie?
How do you express your anger
When your mad?
Do you feel your spirit brighten
When you laugh?
When does your plate become to full
Too much for you to take?
Have you ever lost yourself
In so much hate?
Does your mind surrender
Under the blazing rage?
How does your heart mature
When held captive in a cage?
Where do your thoughts roam
When your so consumed by grief?
After you break down and cry
Do you ever feel relief ?
Must we first fall to our knees
To only rise up even stronger?
Have you ever doubted your strength
To go on a little while longer?
Who do run to for comfort
When your feeling blue?
How does your soul emerge
From the depths of you?
