SCAPEGOAT
I am face to face with the bodies
With all the victims under the floor
I cannot push my way through the stones
Weighing me down
Because all the vultures gather to eat some more
It's an irrefutable truth
Because I was once just like you
But you all needed a martyr
So you made me the monster
To be your savior

That I was the archetype
The architect of doomsday

There's a devil on my shoulder
The left hand path is so much colder
It's lined with skulls and fucking ravens

I'd rather be here than rule in Heaven
I am eye to eye with the body
But I do not recognize my face
This crown of thorns is ripping my skin
The spear that kills
And crucifixion nails hold me into the grave
It's an irrefutable lie
To think I was once inside
The heart of man like a martyr
