O, hope, let us pray for these dreary, menial minds
of ours,
as (our) humanity has taught us little more than selfishness,
hubris, idiot pride, material greed,
and a horrible propensity toward rushing that pandemic
of extinction
to all who live here, (beyond our superior species).

The only recompense left is to flood the veritable market
with delusions of being gods
made for little more than corrupt justice and
One-Day Prime swift gratification delivery.
