No tides
Why cant oceans just flow, like a gentle river stream
Is it just me, thinking out loud, during a long and vivid dream
Instead of crashing into shore, then going back for some more
Just trickle towards the edge, without a noisy, almighty roar
Ships and boats, would never ever be, tipped and sunk
Girls on the shore, would never ever see, a ripped surfy hunk
No whitecaps to see, no tides to ruin sand castles on shore
Precious marine life just swimming and crawling about
Not getting tossed all about, they’d be happy, that’s for sure
But for this to work, its way to challenging
For we still rely on our orbiting moon, to be happening
That’s what my dream didn’t quite bother, to fully figure out.
