The needle done!

As I waited,
watching the blood flow into the syringe,
My heart hammering.
Screaming run!
But I couldn't run!
I could never run.

Now it was my turn!
I slapped the vein on my arm!
The fear inside me growing!
Trying to look like I didn't care.

Watching the mixing,
such a magical sight.
The flame burning,
my fear rushing in like a train,
no one driving now!

As the needle entered my arm,
I was surprised how painless it was!
Then as I watched the syringe,
sucking at my blood,
I realised there was no going back now!

And then! AHHHHHHHHHH!
Wow!!!!!??? Yea!!!???!!!!...................... ......
I was flying into to the stratosphere,
at a million miles an hour!
Heading for somewhere I had never been before!
No more fear and I didn't care,
then nothing.

I was floating in a sea of mush,
no feelings,
my pain had gone.
Slowly it slipped back in again,
time was lost in the slush that was my head.
