The Literary Feline
Cats... devoted seekers after energy
that they are...
appreciate a good literary tome...or
a scientific journal…
And they simply adore a little art history...
every now and again
hoarding... all that accumulated ...
intellectual energy
until they explode... into feline hissy-fits
flinging themselves into mad
races about the house...
as if all the demons of hell
were hot on their heels.
No wonder the little dears
...sleep so much...
that they are...

In my family we call that Tear Ass O'Clock. I sometimes wish it had a set time but it seems to vary. Keeps me on my toes. Hahaha...Much enjoyed this little fe-lion adventure! :-)

Greatly observed - cats the world over must have an unwritten agreement of behavioural standards. Like the the last stanza especially, it somehow connects to the first stanza and rounds the poem off with with a mix of feel-good and sharp observation.
