Drakken Rising
You think you do
but you don’t
know me that is
the sunny face
outwardly shown
masks the clouds within
anger jealousy violence
writhe like demon spawn
in my soul
Before I learned to hide
to force the darkness to sleep
I would have ripped your throat
out with my teeth
savoring the blood
and fear infused
for what you seek to do
what is mine is mine
make no mistake
To try and take
what I have claimed
would be the gravest ever made
you will not survive
an encounter with that
which lies beneath
the Morrigan is here
Kali Sekhmet Hella
destroyers all
Mother I have been
for this passing span
gentled for a time
but no more
the dark is rising
sibilant whispers scales rustling
dragon claws scraping
lusting for freedom
imagining your screams
Enjoying every morsel
of your agony
pain and betrayal you inflict
returned tenfold
superlative torture and hell
for one who pretends
friendship and loyalty
only to prove an attempted thief
and liar
Be warned
consider yourself fortunate
to be given this small glimpse
of incarnate death
back away slowly
leaving what is mine to me
perhaps I will allow
continued existence
for now
But know this
should our paths cross
I will not be merciful again
annihilation will result
even scattered remnants
will be devoured
so that no trace of excrement remains
to pollute my world
and bring me grief
