We pirates need a cabin boy
The cap’n said ta’ find 'im one
The last ‘un left our ship’s employ
‘Cause he annoyed most ev’ryone!
I hope ta’ find one older now
We pirates need a cabin boy
A’fore we cross from Curaçao
To raid them lanes around St. Croix.
The last ‘un made such grievous noise
I warned ‘im, when me sword I drew
We pirates need a cabin boy
Annoyed me so, I ran ‘im through!
I used his shirt ta’ clean me sword
The silence, we sure all enjoyed
Then threw his carcass overboard
We pirates need a cabin boy!
