A Road Having No Direction

Where was I when the world began to cry?
The sky turned dark and you were not here
To hunger for a love that is gone
And not know that you were about to die.

It was not my choice for you to go
Everyone must die, but only once
We can't go to Heaven on good works
But just believe in Jesus, repent of our sins, be baptized wouldn't you know?

 Eternity is forever
My life without you is like a road having no direction
My only peace comes from knowing  that Jesus has you
For your fight was won and now no more trials or endeavors.

I have had to put up signs on my road without direction
I have had to be stronger than I thought I was
I have had to call on Jesus many a time
But I am determined to spend eternity with such perfection.

To see you again in Heaven and say " I love you"
Words that we always said to one another
While struggling day to day
On that road now that has direction too.
