A Twist Of A Vampire’s Fate XXVII
Empty Promises of Yesterday
DRACON’S CASTLE
Sighisoara, Romania
Naynina looked at her refection in her compact mirror. She smacked her lip gloss; blending it among her pair of lips. She looked down at her silver-colored stilettoes. She made sure the hip-hugging dress; she has chosen for the evening was acceptable. She knew Professor Peeples had feelings for her, and to add insult to injury, she was being deliberately wanton to make his tongue salivate, for selecting Mimi, of all the people, to replace her. A dig site, she has worked on locating for over a year, and for him to give her the glory without the effort was unacceptable in her eyes.
Naynina lifted the bottle of perfume, removed the top, and then sprayed it up her legs. She recapped the top and uprooted the bottle back on top of the dresser.
There was a knock at the door.
Naynina crossed the bedroom. She inhaled and exhaled. She reached down for the doorknob, turned it, and slowly opened the door.
Dracon leaned against the door frame.
Naynina noticed Dracon was donned in a tailored made Kenneth Cole double-breasted black suit. Umm, she liked it when his dreads were not confined by a band. His looked, wow, is the first word that came to mind.
“Can I help you handsome…I mean Professor Constantine.” The titled sounded so crass.
“You look lovely.”
Dracon lifted his hand from behind his back.
Naynina looked down at the long steam red rose.
“I was thinking of you, once I plucked this from out the garden.”
Dracon extended the rose.
Naynina was hesitated.
“Not to worry, I’ve removed the thorns.”
“Then I will accept.”
Naynina removed the red rose from out Dracon’s hand.
Dracon’s hand engulfed Naynina’s hand. He looked down into her eyes.
Allow me to enter, please.
Naynina smiled to herself.
I wonder was he aware she could hear his thoughts.
“Would you like to come in Dracon.”
“Since you asked.”
Naynina stepped back. She turned her back on Dracon. She made she he received the full benefits of the slit to the back of her black cocktail dress; showcasing the back of her upper tone thighs.
Dracon hissed his approval under his breath.
Naynina placed the rose on the dresser. She wondered did he have a date. She turned around. Her presence collided into Dracon’s presence.
Dracon stabilized Naynina’s stance.
Naynina looked down. She noticed Dracon’s arm remained wrapped around her waist.
Naynina stepped back.
Dracon pulled Naynina closer.
Naynina’s breasts rested against Dracon’s chest wall.
“Dracon, this… I refuse to become involved…”
Dracon’s lips swooped on Naynina’s lips.
Naynina attempted to step back.
Dracon held Naynina tighter; his mouth expertly meandered over hers.
Naynina closed her eyes. She allowed Dracon’s lips to carry her emotional away.
Dracon sluggishly lifted his lips from off Naynina’s lips. He kissed the side of her neck, he whispered in her ear, “You look too beautiful tonight to share with anyone.”
Naynina inched her face back. She noticed her arms were comfortably wrapped around Dracon’s neck.
“I hope you did not come to my bedroom and try to seduce me in allowing you into my life.”
“Before tonight, I plan on it, and you will be accompanying my sexual foray.”
Naynina pressed her body against Dracon’s body.
“You are very arrogant.”
“No, I am for sure, however I will accept the compliment.”
He stole quick kiss.
Dracon leaned forward; he smelled the side of Naynina’s neck, he kissed under her earlobe.
His breath on her neck, tinkled her skin.
“I need you to close your eyes.”
“For?”
“Thrill me, beautiful.”
Naynina blushed. She closed her eyes.
Dracon pulled Naynina into his arms closer.
JOSEPH T. RESTAURANT & WINE BAR
Sighisoara, Romania
“You may open your eyes, Naynina,” Dracon whispered in her ear, he kissed her behind her earlobe.
Naynina opened her eyes. She wrapped her arms around Dracon’s neck and scooter closer to his body.
“What…how.” Naynina surveyed the intimate five-star restaurant.
“I suggest you take me back home. I am due to meet Professor Peeples, momentary.”
“Professor Peeples, is indisposed at the moment.”
“And how did you come to know this known fact.”
“I passed him talking to Mimi.”
“I see.”
Dracon rubbed his palms up and down Naynina’s bare back. He pulled her presence even closer to his body.
“You are mine, Naynina.”
Dracon held Naynina’s eyes.
Naynina, saw honesty, and a touch of possessiveness within the hypnotic darken depths.
Dracon stepped back.
“Would the beautiful, Naynina, join me for the evening, starting with dinner, later my company.”
Dracon bowed.
Naynina blushed.
“I would be honored.”
Dracon lifted Naynina’s hand and kissed it. He grabbed her hand and walked over to the table, which he called to reserve for their evening dining.
LASOMBRA HEADQUARTERS
Hévíz, Budapest
Seneca Pte’s Office
“A Fairy?” Seneca’s uncle squared his nephew off. “You expect everyone in this boardroom to believe a Fairy roams in this century, and this Fairy woman, is the same woman who once walked through these corridors, centuries ago.”
“If what Mr. Salice Orsolya states, then yes, there is a Fairy among us, and she is the woman who was to wed me, after Dracon turned her, and eventually lost her. Once she was enslaved by someone from the Tremere Clan, my hopes of us spending centuries together become despondent.”
“If perhaps this woman is indeed Naynina, and she is a Fairy, her bloodline alone could be beneficial to this clan. If perhaps anyone was to start a war. The powers she has we will succeed us as the victor at all cost.”
Seneca palmed his cheeks down.
“You do know, once we contain her blood to this clan. No more Day Amulet rings. Naynina can alter the weather, see into the future, hear at an astronomical distance, stop time such as a vampire; she is immune to a vampire, and cannot be turned. There is more credibility to her powers, and too many to list in one breath.”
“Back up, you stated she cannot be turned. Then how in the hell did Dracon turn her?”
“To my history and understanding. A witch granted Naynina’s mother the rite of passage by bestowing certain powers to Naynina’s as her mother was dying.”
“Have you seen this woman, to verify if she is indeed, Naynina, and will she remember you if she is.”
“I cannot answer if she will remember me; our love affair was centuries ago. In addition, Salice has someone shadowing her. And word has it. She is out dining with Dracon this evening.”
“Then I say, you and I nephew, have dinner plans this evening.”
VASILE TABARCA’S RESIDENCE
Sighisoara, Romania
“Man come on; the restaurant is not going to hold up my reservations. Is hard enough to get a table.”
Valan and Vacome met Vasile at the door.
“Well don’t my men look dashing this evening.”
Valan kissed the side of his mother’s cheek.
“You got excellent taste woman. Would the fairest woman of the land like to join her sons for dinner?”
“I’m content, I need to figure out a way to sit down Salice. Something needs to be done, about that Ventrue Clan.”
“Mother, please do not go sticking your nose, in the wrong place. You have three sons for that. You allow us to handle Dracon, on our own terms.”
“Word on the streets. Dracon was the wolf who attacked you.”
“I cannot conform it.”
Valan looked over a Vacome.
“Why the fuck, excuse me mother. Vacome, why the hell does Dracon have you on his hit list?”
“As I just told mother, I do not know who struck me, and until, I can figure out this shit, we lay low. Now, I am hungry, let’s roll.”
Vacome reached down for the doorknob, opened the door, and walked out.
Valan, and then Vasile followed behind.
Their mother pushed the door close.
