Holiday Haiku VI
in the land of trolls
water falling from the hills
rocks scrubbed into art

Author's Note
We hiked up a large hill where tons of waterfalls came down seemingly out of nowhere and vanished into the earth.

Ohhh it does make you wonder what is beneath the earth, doesn't it? Some pure aquifer or deep-centered pond or beach! Glad to know Mother Nature stores up some for herself.
Beautifully done, Delanee.

Thank you very much. It is something I definitely pondered about while I was there taking it all in.

... and they say water doesn't flow uphill - I've always wondered how water gets to top of mountains before flowing down - and it's not just rain or snow. Glad the holiday is feeding your soul. Great haiku again.

Well written. The only way it can get better is if you actually saw a troll. Now that would be cool.

Totally agree. I did joke about having some trolls in our traveling group haha.
It was absolutely beautiful and inspiring.

The more the planet warms ... the more water will evaporate ... the more rain, snow and ice will end up back down on the earth at the poles and mountains ... or so those who believe Gaia tell us ... I wonder if you're seeing part of Gaia's loving embrace?

I believe now I have seen it with my own eyes. And you could feel her embrace all around in that country, they still take good care of her.

Ohh what a compliment, HF. I do not consider my haikus as epic as that... Still it means a lot.
Thank you! The picture does not nearly do the scene any justice.
