"Survivor"
"The Survivor"
I'm a survivor, this I know
From the top & to the below
I ask myself, is it worth it?
Or do I even give two shits?
Why go on to another downfall
Or is it you like to see me crawl?
I beg the mercy of the gods
But all I get are devious plots
So between the lines of stop & go
I adjust the levels of my brain flow
Do I stick to the ever winding path?
That could lead to a life of wrath
Do I worry about what could happen?
Or steady my course, here's to hoping
The mental grind can weigh you down
Leaving you with no smile, only a frown
I dreamt of a life that was surreal
Just know this, I'm saying for real
How can I dig myself from a hole?
That I'm buried in, without a soul
Pain & suffering is like an old worn shoe
Become to familiar with, it's my true
This is all I know, that life is a gruel
Biting you in the ass, so vicious & cruel
Pull yourself from the waste of the world
Slow your roll, straighten out the curl
Keep on keeping on, my good friend
In the game of life you can always win
