Our cat came in with a bird the other day so I've switched the cat-flap to one way only - out.

and he's and inveterate bowl licker and scourer of pots

I'm a firm believer in cats being omnivores. I've watched my fe-lions eat too many odd things to believe they are strictly carnivores. Lost a kitty to a plant once. Still getting over that trauma. Yeah, someone forgot to notify cats of the rules. Got a giggle outta this one. :-)
