When I was desperate
To be noticed
Desperate to be acknowledged
Searching for a love
Searching for a connection
With someone
I was hoping to hypnotize
Into my world
Propell a love forward
To interrupt
The dead silence
I was struggling with
I met you
Just at that moment
I met you
You gave me new found hope
I met you
But you were only the hope
I'd been searching for
That I was loved in the universe
