Rider in the Night

There’s a rider in the night.
Her leather boots can touch the sky.
Her long black whip will make you cry.
Her pale green eyes will make you sigh.

For a look in those eyes
many men have bled and many died.
For those eyes I will try
to bear the weight of the falling sky.

There’s a rider in the night.
Her leather boots have caught your eye.
Her long black whip is standing by.
Her pale green eyes have told a lie.

For a look in those eyes
I would kill and I would die.
For those eyes I will try
to hold down the raising tide.

Through roads of endless pleasure
and Odysseys of pain.
She takes my animation
and leaves me to decay.

For those eyes I would die.
For those lies I would fight.
Pale green prisons of my sight.
Death encrypted in her smile.
