In Lust We Trust

In lust we trust to be our first transgression,
To love it and covet in everything we see,
And thus we must not give into temptation,
Even if the urges surges strongly in fantasy.

There’s a dire hunger in the fire which burns,
Deep in the heart that’s so hard to control,
Lingering and simmering it constantly yearns,
Entrenched in the darkest corner of the soul.

We dare say the internal desire there preys,
Taunting and haunting like a torrid obsession,
Plaguing the mind with scenarios designed,
To give into the beautiful lurid possession.

We lose all reason and even commit treason,
When the longing is overwhelming and endless,
The emotion runs deep that it will not keep,
To the laurels and morals when all is restless.

Yet the irresistible need regardless of creed,
Will surely test your will, power and resolve,
Even if the unexplainable impulse engulfs,
Even if all the worldly pleasures are involved.

The robust passion is but a passing fashion,
There’s no solid foundation underneath it all,
The immortal thirst is but an immoral curse,
Meant to deceive no matter how small.

So when in the indulgence of all carnal desires
Feels like a blissful heaven touching your skin,
Know you’ve been misled by faulty trust,
Because lust is an exquisite yet deadly sin.
