Walking through night
In a fog,
in a haze
Walking through the black dense night
Walking through this chilly night frost
In a daze,
my body tired and heavy
Wispy haze above me, following me,
Floating my way
As I count the golden
Overhead street lights
One by one
They twinkle yellow
Circular bubbles glowing at me
From above they seem to pop
Like my tired eyes,
Watering now
Staring too much at
Floaty yellow outlines
bubbling up again
Above my head,
my tired eyes squinting in the light
Street lamp spotlights repeating themselves
Guiding my shadow forward
in a haze
Walking through the black dense night
Walking through this chilly night frost
In a daze,
my body tired and heavy
Wispy haze above me, following me,
Floating my way
As I count the golden
Overhead street lights
One by one
They twinkle yellow
Circular bubbles glowing at me
From above they seem to pop
Like my tired eyes,
Watering now
Staring too much at
Floaty yellow outlines
bubbling up again
Above my head,
my tired eyes squinting in the light
Street lamp spotlights repeating themselves
Guiding my shadow forward
