Father’s Day

There’s a million things that we could say,
on this once-a-year Father’s Day,
for the dads who were there,
to support your choices and to care,
for the trophy dads at every sports event,
from the egg and spoon race to the bbq in the tent,
for the dads in heaven who we wish were here,
let’s give them an almighty cheer!
And let’s not forget the dads who are gone,
wether they’re down the street or if they’ve moved on,
for they gave us life and are still to be celebrated,
and even sperm donors are thanked for the life they created,
to the not actual dads and the step in figures,
the thank you for you is even bigger,
it’s a job you took on without being asked to do,
to all the dads, we thank you ❤️
