Always Is With You
How to say I love you in so few words,
When I couldn’t contain it in 2 or 3 worlds,
From this dimension to the fourth and the fifth,
I still can’t believe it’s you that I’m with.
I’ve looked my whole life for someone like you,
someone like me that gets me too,
I might not say it often enough,
your place in my heart is truly loved.
I’ve never met a man who’s made me feel quite this way,
Even on the worst, shittiest of days,
You give me that spark I thought I had lost,
From the very beginning our fates were crossed. ...

Father’s Day
There’s a million things that we could say,
on this once-a-year Father’s Day,
for the dads who were there,
to support your choices and to care,
for the trophy dads at every sports event,
from the egg and spoon race to the bbq in the tent,
for the dads in heaven who we wish were here,
let’s give them an almighty cheer!
And let’s not forget the dads who are gone,
wether they’re down the street or if they’ve moved on,
for they gave us life and are still to be celebrated,
and even sperm donors are thanked for the life they created, ...
on this once-a-year Father’s Day,

How many times my life’s been turned upside down,
It was happening so much I was having trouble keeping count,
People come and go and they never stick around,
Till you came along now my feet’s on the ground,

Government Issued Recovery
It’s easy enough to say to get a grip
but you don’t know what it’s like to slip
after three months or after six
of keeping up my act
when the world around me starts to collapse
and I know that I’m grown
and I know I have to control how I react
but it doesn’t make a difference from the front to the back
or if I’m at the bottom this
kinda thing is considered common
and as long as we follow the lawmen
we aren’t considered a problem till you look at statistics
and suddenly life doesn’t look so optimistic

Don’t follow the crowd
If I start Listening to the conditioning maybe one day I’ll Fit right in but I’m not sure what you’re envisioning as there’s still something missing but there’s no point in wishing or compliment fishing just focus on living in the moment and act like you own it like you’ve always known and it fear no opponent

Another day another G
Watching your life go down the drain is no easy feat,
when your ear drums beat to your heart and you can’t see,
everything carries weight when it’s on top,
a lotta the time seems like there’s no way to make it stop,
but you have to carry on
stay strong
put your brave face on and keep it going beyond the usual way to respond,
with tomorrow forever in front
another day brings another blunt
till you’re sick of the two gram hunt and start to punt,
the clientele are a dealers hell, 3am still rings the bell,
soon you begin to smoke...

Arguing with anxiety
Ok, there’s the door, now just get up off the floor, fix your hair and walk right out, what the fuck are you worried about?
There’s people, in crowds, they’re all chatty and rushing around, god forbid someone should stop me, there’s too many ifs but what’s... don’t mock me!
Forget about everyone else, this is not how to take care of yourself, they’re all to busy with their own stuff, now get up and get moving stop throwing a huff!
No! I’ve decided to hide instead, I’m staying inside in my comfortable bed, it’s too hard to cope with this today, now leave me...

Valium Obsession
Swallowing little blue pills by the milligram,
taking just enough so you don’t give a damn,
it stops the anger and it brings the calm,
life is what it is and I am what I am.
No standing in line for my prescription,
rudimentary methods to fulfil my addiction,
from India to Pakistan or straight from someone’s kitchen,
anything to rid me of this mental affliction.
When anxiety threats inside your head,
those little pills are your best friend,
they calmed the nerves when the voices said,
“don’t go out, stay in instead”....
taking just enough so you don’t give a damn,
it stops the anger and it brings the calm,
life is what it is and I am what I am.
