An outside veiw of humanity

there was once a plauge that raveged the earth
like a monster it was vicious from birth
it tore up the ground and lay waste to the land
it burned up the skies and poisend the waters
it fought itself over crudly drawn borders

try as we did it couldnt be ignored
we gave it everychace
but contact we couldnt aford

it built up vast cities
and destroyed them just as quickly
it raged on itself
for the death of so many

it soon died off for it could no longer breath
it starved to death of its very own greed
remnants remain that remind of the past
in great numbers it died
in even greater mass

it was sad really
to watch it all go down
and to this very day

on the humans we frown
