Broken

Just because I hate doesn't mean I never learned to love
They say devils don't fly, but they always push and shove
They've never seen a demon in the sky
Just because I'm on the ground doesn't mean I can fly
My wings are broken but you push me and I fall
I'm bound in chains, I cannot walk so I'll crawl
I was always expected to fall, I was born on the ground
I might have been an angel, but I fell without a sound
You cast me away
I think like it better here, I think I wanna stay
You threw me to the wolves
I don't think you liked it, when I returned leading the pack
My once white feathers, now stained midnight black
I don't care anymore
I've been scarred in my heart and in my core
You can hurt me, you can break me
But I'll never let you make me
Love again
