Future Me

Something strange happened
When I googled myself
I found myself looking
At myself on a shelf
Instead of some words
Saying what I had done
Who that I was
Or how I have fun
There was a miniature me
Exactly my twin
Sitting right there
With a ginormous grin

Minature me
Said to me, in a voice rather mild
"You seem surprised to see me
my child"
"I am you of the future here to give some advice
Make a change in your life
Do not think twice"
"You notice the screen shows no written word
You've done nothing in life of which people have heard
Nothing amazing, or even of note
The date of your birth hasn't even been wrote
Go out in the world, make yourself known
Then maybe someday, your name will be shown"

Me of the future said to me of the now
"Im sure, if you try you can do it somehow"
He then faded away
Leaving me with ambition
To go forth, achieve
Start a tradition
So, make sure in life you do something worthwhile
Something, at least, to make people smile
Or you may find when you google yourself
That you have a visit
From future you on a shelf
