Thank you, Tallen. I appreciate that. The moon has moved from fiery Aries into calm and peaceful Taurus. * sigh *

Your wisdom shines in this spill dear Ahavati. I love every word of it. "Ignore every vain pursuits engaging conflict" yes.

"Walk through their flame-
Survive"
The capitals add emphasis, where normally there wouldn't be any after a semi or dash.
Now, the brick wall image is brilliant as it
- symbolizes the sturdiness of a well constructed reality whereas the flames of others continually reduce everything they are building to ash.
- illustrates a fanning shape, as in the fanning of flames.
- illustrates a tornado shape, as in a cone of negativity and or drama that surrounds certain people.
How to live is to live your own life and that is always a positive thing; letting people be themselves is likewise, even if it means letting them be their silly, negative, dramatic selves. Sometimes supporting others is merely getting the hell out of their way so they can experience success and failure on their own.
Thank you for dedication, Dear. ❤📝

The last stanza for me carries the vital message - of spending one's energy building the new rather than opposing the old. The old will soon take an interest anyway because it lives off the new - then comes the call to 'stand firm'. Solid write; like words-on-canvas dimension (as always).

So TRUE! I was JUST telling someone this not long ago, Josh. No matter what the new do, the old want it until they have it - until they see the new move onto something else. Then they want that too.
My father told me something once; he said, spiteful, jealous people will want what you have not because they can have it - but simply so you won't. That way they don't have to watch you shine.
I pray every day for those who perceive me their enemy - I pray they discover their OWN purpose, and that it provides goals they focus on - and shine on their own. I am watching one coming to fruition now - one more to go. :-)
Thank you, Josh.

It's always amazing to me how much energy people are willing to expend on trying to shame or malign others. There was a time when it mattered to me what people said behind my back...how they tried to skew the view of others. Now...? I don't stand on the ground of their opinions and words. I stand on my own foundation. And it's strong enough to withstand their pettiness. True words here, Ahavati

That is a narcissistic red flag, Ash. If they cannot control you, they will attempt to control what others think of you. It is up to us to realize that what they think is none of our business, and has nothing to do with us. Only what we think of us matters.
You're very wise to stand on your own foundation. I do earnestly pray for their happiness, which comes through purpose and focused goals. God knows they've focused on others long enough.
My joy, in addition to my own purpose and goals, is seeing the fruition of those prayers beginning to take hold. That does something to a person; it's a tectonic shift inside - a split where light doesn't enter - but escapes from within. Because that's where the light REALLY is. We don't NEED to crack for light to enter. We NEED to crack so it can escape, and shine.
That only comes with experience, one being " Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. . .". It took me awhile to get there ( meaning I've made mistakes ), but I am here now. And I absolutely refuse to turn around no matter what they do.
Thank you for your comment. I have missed your words on my work. You always have a keen insight. Keep standing on your own foundation.

This has a 'habits of successful people' feel to it, just in general ( not referencing the book by that name which I don't think I've read)..
it's excellent advice for any walk of life, the words have added strength with the background image backdrop, made me think of trials by fire in native American culture..
It has a similar wisdom to your 'chess pieces' which I really enjoyed, especially the one about losing your queen then losing everything, that was good:)

Thank you, PoetsRevenge. I really appreciate that observation, particularly the Native American connection.

Quite a "Creed" You got going, here.
The essence therein would be hard to argue over.

I'm not so sure about things being left unchallenged. I have, sadly, learned to doubt much of what I hear and read.....

Re: Re. How to Live
A positive thing doesn't alter its form because of dramatic negativity ( despite potentially altered perceptions ). It is what it is, pushes through regardless, and survives. However, a positive thing remains solidly positive when unopposed by jealous drama and petty competitiveness.
As far as judging truth, it resides within you and will bear witness to what is. Such dramatic behaviour is merely a character trait of those perpetuating it.
Thanks for the wishes.
