All The Eyes in the World

Have you ever sat back
and called something yours?
Have you ever decided
just what you needed?

Could you call it your own?
Could you take yours home?

Mine was outside
out in the sky
right by the horizon
and it was all mine.

I said, This one's For Me
Be it pretty or not
This one's For Me
and it’s all that I got

I named my own sunset,
I named it, For Me.
All the eyes in the world
are welcome to see.

A sunset a sunrise
aren't they the same?
No ,one brings the morning
the other the night.

Have you ever sat back
and called something yours?

The sun won't stand still
I keep trying to chase it
and when i get tired
and lay down to sleep
I’m not chasing it
but it’s chasing me.

All the eyes in the world
are welcome to see.

Author's Note
This is the first memorable poem I wrote and can also put to music. I wrote it while looking out the car window on my way to college.
