Aftershock
After her earthquake struck
And my tsunami washed out to shore
I watched her with, I am sure,
A self satisfied smile
(I’ve been told before)
As the aftershocks rippled across her body
As she caught her breath.
As she shivered and quaked
As she shuddered and heaved and sighed
I watched her bliss fade
And was satisfied.
Look what I have created.
What better feeling is there than this.
And my tsunami washed out to shore
I watched her with, I am sure,
A self satisfied smile
(I’ve been told before)
As the aftershocks rippled across her body
As she caught her breath.
As she shivered and quaked
As she shuddered and heaved and sighed
I watched her bliss fade
And was satisfied.
Look what I have created.
What better feeling is there than this.
