Inspired by Lord Hoffman's speech in West Bromwich, reading the speeches of others who refer to him, and the subsequent use of that in my everyday thinking ...
Very neat. Like this - though it required some research about "Investors Compensation Scheme Ltd v West Bromwich Building Society" which I might understand on a good day with a clear head. Not even sure if this is on the right track. But even so, the senryu comes across very neat.
You definitely are on the right track ... Hoffman bangs on about how to interpret contracts ... there are some really interesting court cases, not only that but some of them have prose that is a thing of beauty. Check out the court case that is the subject of this blog post http://ipkitten.blogspot.com/2009/07/trial-judge-says-boileau-to-patent.html ... it is on bailli now (link to follow).
Oh, do fucking true. In these times, if express the slightest concern over immigration reform, crime or national defense, some bigoted asshole has to morph it to support their agenda of hate. That's why, till this storm passes, I say nothing about these issues. Wisdom.
