Gaia's Revenge
Gaia uprising
Gaia warriors indeed
Never ever thought
I would hear
Extinction Rebellion
In my years
Global warming
Climate change
A hoax?
Maybe, but only the rich
Will be saved
To start again
A new world order
Of one-percenters
Bill and Melinda Gates
At the top
And what about
Mark Zuckerburg
Or the Amazon guy
Let them see
What money can't buy
Flowing rivers
Oceans clean
No rubbish ever seen
Let them see after
Killing off the little people
How life will really be
Can't find a maid
Can't find a chauffeur
Not thinking
How they shall survive
Without the little people
That helped in large part
To make them rich
And to survive
In unimaginable comfort
Gaia's revenge
Has set in
Universal bewilderment
Of what to do
To make things better
In only 10 years
Is a crisis
Of unthinkable
Destruction and ruthless
Killing living beings
Killing of sustenance resources
As can be consumed
By gaseous expulsions
Into the air
From hair spray to autos
Known for sometime
Hiding evidence
To grow rich
From those who seek
Earth's trials and tribulations
Wrought by humankind
Gaia's Revenge is at hand
Soon to be out of control
No where to go
World leaders grapple with such things
Some more devoted than others
Gaia can no longer
Carry the load
So most will go
Like the old and poverty stricken
To make room
New world order
Christians, Muslins, Jews alike
Buddhists, Hindus alike
And all the others
Will discover their god
Really wasn't there
To save them
From mass destruction
At their very own hands
A sad state of affairs
A sad state for humankind
Of where we were
Of where we are
Of where to be
When Gaia's revenge
Reigns red in the sky
With oceans of plastic
No oak trees
No redwoods either
No Amazon forests
To support breathing
To sustain life
Gaia's Revenge
Is upon us
Sacrifices must be made
In a hurry to survive.
Gaia warriors indeed
Never ever thought
