I feel just like an orange
I feel just like an orange
Cut abruptly in half and left
To let the juices drip out,
Like a wound open to the air;
The other half whisked away
And now the fibers hanging out
Yearn to retouch their fray.
I feel like my heart’s contained material
Was unwound and sits now in disarray
A mass hanging right before me
That can’t figure out how to rearrange.
A ball, suspended, waiting to fall,
The first half of a thought,
And this feeling is so strange.
It’s identical, what is and what’s not
From thin air form worlds
And worlds go to naught.
Reality becomes possibility;
Keep your head above the instability.
If you can stand on the seesaw and keep talking
Then you can do just about anything.
