TRANSFUSION
Lover
Do not apologize
When the world comes in
With blazing spears
And sharpened hooves
And you feel fear
At its approach
Lover
Do not apologize
When you don armor
Grab a sword
Mount your steed
And charge into the fray
Every other day
Lover
Do not apologize
When you come home
Full of new holes
And covered in
The thick and musty
Blood of the world
The world may be built
To destroy us
But my tongue is built
To lick your wounds
My arms were made
For holding you close
My heart pumps extra hard
For times like this
Do not apologize
When the world comes in
With blazing spears
And sharpened hooves
And you feel fear
At its approach
Lover
Do not apologize
When you don armor
Grab a sword
Mount your steed
And charge into the fray
Every other day
Lover
Do not apologize
When you come home
Full of new holes
And covered in
The thick and musty
Blood of the world
The world may be built
To destroy us
But my tongue is built
To lick your wounds
My arms were made
For holding you close
My heart pumps extra hard
For times like this
