Wishes Unheard

All the boots
On the train make me
Dizzy
With excitement and
Yearning
Wishing I could keep them clean
Shiny
Their owners happy
Well fed
And cared for
Serving their inhabitants
My goal
But more Sisyphean a
Task couldn't exist
Since not a breath of my desire
Will leave my lips
Forever on the sidelines
I'll sit
Seeing boots I wish to clean.
