Lonely Girl

She felt she needed time to walk alone.
Every last thing her feet touched became a surface only seen in heaven.
Confused of where to go.
Even though everything in front of her promised light.
Perfect in the moment she just hoped not to make the same mistakes with him.
Where has his attention gone?
Comfort could be found effortlessly.
Would it be from a man so trustworthy?
Lost in tunes she continues imagining.
Correlating music sends waves of grace inside her warming soul.
Finally walking towards the warm sun.
The bottom of the sun might as well have been sitting on the ground.
Right in front of her.
It seems she’s been walking alone all night.
Rest.
