cloud of the seether

black leather teardrops
hang from melaleuca
sheoak and fig
where the devilish hide
cackle and amass in mania

beneath the seether cloak
remains something unmistakable
the foulness of lilac psychosis

muscle recalls paranoia
kindling piles
agitate the caldron mind

anxiety feeds on the feeder
this makes the feeder anxious
and so the ethereal illusion loops

venture to wetland forest fringe
wallow beyond midge shores
fall deep within the swarm
where leaf weevil
rain like micro zombie
spawn from cock vain apocalypse

embedded decisions unmade
compromised by perception
apathy impaled with emotion

melancholy is an empty deathbed

mind your feet
ignorance abyss
mind your feet
denial denial
mind your feet
maundy maundy
mind your feet

melancholy is a coffin nail
unready to bend
the flow of mayfly feelings

overhead the flying fox let loose
dusk aswarm with life
cloud of the seether
relinquished by ritual and purpose

Author's Note
Strange how shadows always follow you where ever you go... bats are interesting too. The video footage was shot in the historical cemetery and a rooftop carpark in my home town. Sorry about the quality of the spoken word reading, it appears my mic ain't working so well these days. I've also made some late changes to the poem, so plan to rerecord the spoken word once I get my hands on a mic.
