Never let a door slam in your face

In my lifetime, I’ve had doors slammed in my face
Opportunities denied to me, because who I am or where I came from
People not giving me a chance at anything in life.
Always struggling to find an open door and that ticket to a better world
Even struggling to be given a chance at something in life.
Knowing, no matter what I do, I’m never give a shot at something.
I’m always knocked down or having things slammed in my face
People never realize what they lost when they slammed the door on them.
People also say they should be giving a fair chance at something
But fair chances never exist in reality
Fair chances are just a pipe dream to make themselves feel good
Fair chances are just a myth because no one is ever given a fair chance
When everything in life is stacked so damn freaking high against them.
People who were never given a fair chance at anything are the real hero's
They are the ones who fight hard and fight tooth and nail for something.
They are the ones who never give up or give in to anything
And you know what, those are the ones who never quit or throw in the towel.
If you think that people like me are expected to roll over and crawl back,
All because a door or opportunity got slammed in our face
Think again, because what these people who slammed doors in my face don’t realize
Is that I’m not that type that gives up easily or crawls back to where I came from
I fight for it and fight until the day I depart this planet
Even when doors or opportunities get slammed in my face,
I make my own door and my own opportunity.
I make my own door and opportunity when others want to slam in my face.
To those who slammed the door in my face and denied me a fair chance
You just slammed the door on someone who’s not a quitter
You slammed the door on someone who’s never going to give up
And you just made someone much more stronger and determined to get what they want
Even when it means, making a door for yourself and making your own opportunity
When others deny you a fair chance or opportunity
Keep working at it because sooner or latter
Someone will see a fighter who’s so determined
That they’ll have to give you a chance
Because what the world doesn’t realize is that the world hates quitters
And the world wants someone who’s gona fight for everything
Including risking their life for a fair chance or opportunity at something that was denied to them.
So it’s why never slam a door at someone who wants a fair chance
Because one day, that door that’s slammed in your face is the one you may never open again.
